Create a Member Preference
To create a Member Preference:

Select Program from the top navigation bar, then select Member Preferences from the side navigation menu. The Member Preferences screen is displayed.

In the Display Name field, enter the name of the new Member Preference.

Click Create. The Edit Member Preference pop-up window is displayed.

The Display Name field is populated with the value you entered above; optionally edit this value.

The Internal Name is automatically populated based on the Display Name value. This field is not editable by default. To edit the Internal Name, check Edit Internal Name. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click Ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

Optionally, in the Description field, enter a description of this item.

The Values area is used to define the Domain values for this Member Preference. Click Add Value. A new blank row is added to the Values area.

In the Display Name field, enter a name for this Domain value.

In the Value field, enter the value that will be presented to Members, and stored in this field if selected.

Optionally, to assign an image to this Domain value, click Choose File. Browse to the desired image file and click Open.

Repeat the above steps as necessary to define additional Domain values.

Optionally, to allow Members to enter values other than the Domain values defined above (i.e., "unbounded"), check Users Can Enter Other Values.

Next to Type, select either:

Single-Valued: Members can select only one value.

Multiple-Valued: Members can select one or more values.

After you create the Preference, you must deploy metadata, which pushes the changes out to the Loyalty server, and makes the new Preference available for use. For details on how to deploy metadata, please see the Deployments screen.
